Moth Orchid

I have not had much luck with nurturing moth orchids (Phalenopsis). I suspect the position has been the problem. Ironically, I have given several as presents and been told that these are all thriving.
The common problems tend to be: over-watering; too direct sunlight and using usual plant compost.
Any advice would be welcome!

  1. I love orchids, but whenever I get some I neglect mine. they seem to be ok with that. I do try not to give them water straight from the tap though, I read that they don't like that, I let it come to room temp and dechlorinate, so maybe actually I pamper them more than I think....
